What makes DHSI the best?

When looking at alternatives – the word “Acceptable” does not mean it is “Equal”.

If a client or owner would expect the following, incorporate these points in your specs:

  1. Products are warranted as an operating system, to be field compliant with the inspection criteria for NFPA/ADA/101 by certified inspectors.
  2. Products are warranted that no light shall pass the frame perimeter (per the integrity requirement of NFPA 80).
  3. Products are warranted that no filing of a strike plate should be required to relieve binding of the lever and reduce torque (per NFPA 80 = no field modifications of fire tested components is allowable).
  4. Sealing systems will not cause torque on the lever to exceed 15 inch pounds (per Life Safety 101 and ADA).
  5. Require STC ratings, tested by wood and steel door manufacturers as an operable system to a flat surface, that meets codes such as ANSI S12.60
  6. Products are warranted that the adhesive will not fail and the frame seals will not come off the frame “life of the installation”.
  7. Products are warranted that the inserts on the mortise (AMDB) and surface (SSDB) will not come out “life of the installation”.
  8. "Air Make Up" ("AMU") Door bottoms to block light and sound but allow air migration from the corridor to the room if required. Individually engineered and documented to meet the CFM requirements of the HVAC system.
  9. Transitions include Frame Alignment/Security Brackets to control installation sequencing of walls, frames, doors, and eliminate out-of-alignment, frame spreading, frame twist and door bind.
  10. Frame seals and astragals may be ordered with a homogenous antimicrobial that will never leach, and therefore never impact the efficacy, with antimicrobial performance warranted “life of the installation”.
  11. Frame seals, door bottoms, astragals and mullion seals may be ordered with the Anti-ligature option, which also resists tampering in sensitive areas.
  12. Privacy Guard shall have a positive means to prevent re-engagement, allow code compliant emergency ingress and match the finish of the lockset.
  13. Mfg shall provide architectural details to coordinate related door machining, transition, interior color choices and eliminate errors caused by the use of vague sales literature “cut sheets”.
  14. Mfg shall provide a “Program of Field Quality Assurance” for quantifying and qualifying field installation issues and offers immediate and direct contact with management to resolve issues and causes: http://dhsi-seal.com/inspectionforms.htm

Not one of our competitors can meet these qualifications!

And now take a look at the other links on the home page to the architectural details and inspection forms no one else offers. Is this what you, a client or an owner would expect from any other manufacturer?
